License Agreement

Last updated: April 17, 2026

This License Agreement explains what you can — and cannot — do with the videos and templates you create or use on AutoAE. It applies to every user of the platform, free or paid.

For account, payment, refund, and general legal terms, see our Terms of Service.

1. What This License Covers

When you generate a video on AutoAE, you're combining three things: our templates, your uploaded materials, and the final output. Each has different rights attached to it. This page tells you exactly how those rights work.

By using AutoAE, you accept this License. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

2. Your Usage Rights

Free plan users may use videos generated on AutoAE only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Free plan outputs are 720p, watermarked, and limited to free templates.

What counts as commercial use. "Commercial use" includes any activity where the video contributes to earning money — directly or indirectly. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ad revenue, monetization, or platform partner-program payouts (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, etc.)
  • Creator-fund payments, creator rewards, and similar platform incentives
  • Tips, gifts, Super Chats, Stars, and other viewer payments
  • Sponsorships, brand partnerships, paid promotions, and branded content
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Promotion of your own business, side hustle, products, courses, or services
  • Client work and freelance deliverables
  • Use in advertising, paid campaigns, or marketing assets

If your video appears anywhere money is being earned, you need a paid plan — even if the video itself is posted organically.

Exception: Creating content that showcases, reviews, or promotes AutoAE itself — such as tutorials, testimonials, or platform demos — is not considered commercial use under this License, regardless of your plan.

Paid plan users may use generated videos for both personal and commercial purposes, including all of the above.

For client work, you may deliver the rendered final video to your client as part of the project. You may not, however, transfer your AutoAE account, share login credentials, or pass on the underlying templates as standalone editable assets.

In both cases, your license is personal, non-transferable, and revocable if you violate this License or our Terms of Service.

3. What You Cannot Do

Regardless of your plan, you may not:

  • Re-distribute, sell, or make our videos available for others to download as standalone files
  • Resell or sublicense the original templates or generated videos as your own product
  • Use generated videos in any way that infringes a third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Misrepresent authorship of the underlying templates or design assets
  • Build a directly competing product by replicating AutoAE's template library, design system, or generation engine using extracted assets
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or replicate any part of our template library

4. Ownership — Who Owns What

Multiple parties are involved when a video is created on AutoAE. Here's how ownership breaks down:

Templates and design assets are created by AutoAE's internal team or by invited contributors. This intellectual property belongs to AutoAE and/or the contributing artist. You don't own the underlying templates — you're licensed to use them under this agreement.

Your uploaded materials — any images, footage, audio, logos, or other assets you bring to AutoAE — remain entirely yours. We don't claim ownership of anything you upload.

Your generated videos — you own the unique combination you create (your text, your imagery, your content choices). The underlying template animation remains the property of AutoAE or the contributing artist.

AI training. Your uploaded materials and generated videos are not intentionally used to train AI models. We select third-party AI service providers whose data-usage policies are consistent with this commitment.

5. License You Grant to AutoAE for Your Uploaded Content

When you upload materials to AutoAE, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and modify those materials solely for the purpose of operating the platform and providing the service to you — for example, rendering videos, generating previews, storing your project for retrieval, and delivering downloads.

This license:

  • Lasts only as long as you keep the materials on AutoAE (it ends when you delete them or close your account, subject to the data-retention period in our Terms of Service)
  • Does not give AutoAE the right to sell your materials, make them public, or use them for any purpose beyond providing the service
  • Does not transfer ownership — you continue to own your materials

6. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any materials you upload.

By uploading content, you confirm that:

  • You own it, or have a valid license or permission to use it
  • It does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other rights
  • It does not contain defamatory, illegal, or otherwise harmful content

AutoAE is a neutral platform and takes no responsibility for the materials you bring to it. Liability for third-party claims related to your uploads is governed by the Indemnification section of our Terms of Service.

7. Templates & Contributors

AutoAE templates are created by our internal design team or by invited contributors. We make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure all elements within our templates are properly licensed for distribution and use through our platform.

If you believe a template, font, audio clip, or other element on AutoAE infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please follow the DMCA Procedure in our Terms of Service.

8. Fonts & Platform Assets

Fonts available on AutoAE are sourced primarily from Google Fonts and are licensed under open licenses (SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0) that permit personal and commercial use. If you bring your own fonts through uploaded materials, you are responsible for ensuring those fonts are appropriately licensed for your use case.

Other platform assets — stock elements, icons, or audio included in our templates — are either owned by AutoAE or licensed for distribution through our platform. While we make every effort to ensure these assets are commercially usable, we cannot guarantee this for every jurisdiction, and users are responsible for compliance with local laws.

9. License Termination

This License remains in effect for as long as your AutoAE account is in good standing. If you violate this License or our Terms of Service, your right to use generated content incorporating our templates ends immediately.

Content you have already published to third-party platforms before termination remains licensed for continued display, except in the following cases:

  • A valid DMCA takedown notice is received against the underlying template
  • A court order requires removal
  • Your breach involved fraud, unauthorized sublicensing, or willful intellectual property infringement

In those cases, AutoAE may require removal and reserves the right to revoke the license retroactively.
